I was first used for beads, tools and other cast iron goods. Later I was used more popularly for weaponry such as swords. Using me to make weaponry spread rapidly throughout Central Asia to Europe. In modern times I have been used for the framing of many buildings.

Blog 1: 1500 BC I start to replace bronze weaponry in the Near East. 1300 BC smelting techniques are formed in Anatolia. 1200 BC I am used for forging tools in West Africa and it is not until 200 AD I become popular in South Africa. 1100 BC I am used alot by the Hitties in Central Asia. Mostly for weaponry. Blog 2: Around 200 BC technology using me makes its way to Europe and it is not until 1585 that i am found in North America.
